The Curiser Expeditionary Tank was designed as a specialist support vehicle for the Pilotmairo Marines. The Marines were not satisfied with the Avenger Tank, and wanted a newer vehicle. They rejected the Victoria on account of its 90mm rail gun, which they deemed unsuitable for infantry support. The Cruiser was developed around high speed and infantry support abilities. As a result, it was given a 155mm low-velocity cannon, capable of firing a very capable high-explosive shell, as well as a potent HEAT shell for armored targets. The independent quad track system was derived from a captured Artemis Tank. All the crew is in the hull, though access points for the commander is through the top. Direction is determined through yaw controls and the VTOL slider; pushing it up moves it forward. To operate the turret and its weapons, press (1) and use roll to control the turret's traverse and pitch to control the gun's elevation. To open the hatches, press (2) and pull the VTOL slider down. It is also amphibious.

In practice, the machine was unpopular with Army crews. It was described as a "Rube Goldberg device", and its suspension was prone to breakdown. They found themselves even more outmatched by the Atremis Tank, which now sported a 105mm coilgun that can destroy them at long ranges. The accurate range of this gun was 1000m, far shorter than the accurate range of any tank gun. While the 155mm gun was certianly more effective against soft targets versus the 120mm smoothbore gun, the 120mm smoothbore could engage targets at much longer ranges with greater accuracy.

However, among Marine crews, it was very popular. The powerful high explosive shell, improved armor and excellent mobility allowed it to engage bunkers more reliably. The coaxial Mk 6 minigun gave it greater firepower than the Mk2 machine guns on the Avenger. It was also amphibious, and despite its heavy weight, could cross over swampy ground due to the lower ground pressure. Anti-tank capability was irrelevant; the Cruiser's main opponent on expeditionary operations, the Erineyes tank, was severely outgunned. The only complaint was the limited ammunition storage; only 21 rounds of main gun ammunition could be carried, including a shell loaded in the gun. This was no surprise; the machine was built to Marine requirements.
