Fokker Rebhuhn ca.1918

NO XML OR FINE TUNER WAS USED IN THE CREATION OF THIS CRAFT. IT IS COMPLETELY FICTIONAL, PLEASE READ FURTHER FOR INSTRUCTION. This is a project i have been active on within the past weekend. This is the Fokker Rebhuhn, or Partridge! The Rebhuhn was tested in November 1917 to make an aircraft capable of destroying barrage balloons quickly and efficiently. It bears a 20mm gun with ammo that actually goes into the wings, which was almost absent at this time and was quite a new concept. The gun would fire a 3 round burst that would be an armored piercing round, then a high explosive, then an incendiary. It had only 90 rounds, but it was very effective. It also had 2 extremely bright lights in the front with compact tube like batteries that allowed it to fight in the night. The extreme amount of firepower came at a loss of maneuverability, though it later was upgraded very late in the war with a bigger and better engine. It officially started production in January, 1918. Pilots complained about the amount of stalling in the aircraft when preforming maneuvers. Over 15 planes were recorded crashing due to the poor flying abilities. The planes could barely dogfight due to the terrible maneuverability, so most of the time they were escorted by DR.1s due to the lack of protection. Overall, only 178 of these were produced during the war, and only 34 were upgraded. This model represents the one used by Andre Saudek in August of 1918 in the battle of the Somme. He was the highest scoring pilot to use one of these aircraft with 4 air kills and 46 balloons destroyed. Overall during the war, these destroyed countless barrage balloons, but only 11 aircraft. The war ended up destroying 112 of these aircraft, and they never saw service again after the war ended, not even as trainers. A few remain still in museums in only France and Germany. @Kerbango Lol, yep. I was trying to go for that old colored patterned camo that was on the Albatross during the war.
