F-14VX ‘Advanced Tomcat’

General Description

The F/A-18X ‘Advanced Tomcat’ Is a 5th generation, Supersonic, Supermaneuverability stealth jet fighter developed in 2021 by the American Aerospace company, Northrop Grumman. The project, originally ‘VF-0’ was designed as a long range, heavy, multirole fighter, developed with Super Cruise for high altitude combat and thrust vectoring engines for more maneuverability at said altitudes. The F-14VX embodied the spirit of the original Tomcat but with a fusion of cutting-edge 5th generation technology. Its iconic variable-sweep wing design, which was a hallmark of the F-14, was retained and further refined to optimize performance across various mission profiles. The advanced materials used in the airframe construction gave it exceptional strength, reduced weight, and enhanced stealth characteristics. As a naval maritime strike fighter, the F-14VX was specially designed for carrier operations, boasting reinforced landing gear and arresting hooks to handle the rigors of carrier landings. Its advanced avionics included state-of-the-art radar and sensor systems, making it a master of situational awareness. Radar-absorbing coatings, low-observable edges, internal weapons bays coupled with a high service ceiling makes the craft near undetectable.

Armament

The Advanced Tomcat is armed with 4x long range missiles, couple that with the fact that you can fire backwards, well you can take on virtually any dogfight, assuming you get into one. No countermeasures though, just dodge the missile bro (Yeah I forgot to add them). Also a drop tank for longer ranges.

While, yes it does have a service ceiling of 75,000 feet. If you wanna be a Maverick and push beyond that, I can not guarantee your saftey.

Yeah my device was screaming at me with this one. Had to cut ambitions short before something explodes. So a few features had to be scrapped

No gun. Your a stealth fighter, if you get into a situation where you need a gun, then you currently have a case of skill issue and the proper treatment would be getting good

Yes it can shoot backwards, but if the target is above you make sure you weapons bay is pointing above you and vice versa

It handles like a boat! And by the time i learned how to increase agility, it was too late so i made it a quirk :D
