History: Designed as a tactical upgrade to the H-101 exported to Israel, the IAI H-101 "War Lion" features many more weapons and other gizmos to help the soldiers stay alive. The canopy was reinforced with an extra inch of plexiglass and an extra inch on the floor as well. The rear door windows were removed to for two extra miniguns, one on each side. Weapon pylons were added to the wingtips and had a total of six hard points. Inside the crew cabin, a small alcove was built to house three extra first aid kits, as well as a foldable stretcher. The doors also received extra armor reinforcing, but the exact composite materials used are still classified. H-101 War Lions were used during the War of Sand by Israeli forces against superior numbers of Egyptian and Jordanian forces. Because of how well-trained and equipped the Israeli pilots and soldiers had been, they were able to fend off the enemy forces and claim victory after a long and grueling war. War Lions still serve in home defense roles, and have received several upgrades over the years to continue their fearsome legacy.
