MV New Odyssey
History
The MV New Odyssey is a ferry owned by Ocean Network Line and is currently the Cebu-Ormoc-Maasin-Surigao route.
She started her service in 1996 as the MV Soya Maru No.9 of Osaka Inter-Island Ferries serving Wakayama-Tokushima-Takamatsu togther with its fleetmate the former MV Soya Maru no.6(Current MV Glorious).
She was brought by Ocean Network Line in 2006 together with the MV New Armonia to replace the MV Don Jose(Former 1st generation Soya Maru no.6) since MV Don Jose's engine was too problematic.Her first route was Cebu-Tagbilaran-Cagayan De Oro-Jagna and vice versa routes until 2018.Her main route was replaced with the bigger MV Triumph(Former Hayabusa no.13).She was assigned to served her current route which is Cebu-Ormoc-Maasin-Surigao.
