Trinity Bomb Site

6,698 Natedoge  5.9 years ago

The first nuclear weapon or bomb built was the trinity bomb. It used an implode device that created a chain reaction of fission and fusion within the plutonium. That is genarally how this bomb works. All you have to do is fire the rocket and use the Camera 1 and zoom out. If you zoom in them your game will lag a lot and you wont really be able to see the explosion. By the way the "bunker" doesnt really serve a purpose, plus it kind of gets destroyed in the explosion. Im giving a thanks to RasucitNemilos who XML modded a boom 50 to the right size I needed.

May be a little laggy, even though it is under 500 parts. So that is a warning.

Also you can add to you sub-assemblies, but if you upload in build, credit me.

Thanks. I’m a slow builder and this took me like 4 weeks just to make a “ball with wires” as I call it. Then the bigger thing, the shed thing only took me like a day. @Thelegitpilot13

@Natedog120705 You’re welcome! I was impressed at first by the explosion sending everything flying, but then I saw the detail you put in the bomb. I was legitimately impressed!

Also The Trinity bomb IS AN ACTUAL NUKE. It literally was the first nuke ever made, it was built with an implode system. @TheFlyingDuck

When you see photos of nuclear bombs just after they explode they look really weird

Yes I was debating whether I should make Jumbo, or the big metal shell. It was originally planned for the bomb to go inside it in case there was no nuclear chain reaction, but as people believed the plutonium would cause a reaction more, then they didn't and it did work. Jumbo was still at the site, just far from the bomb itself. It survived the blast almost fully intact. The reason it is blown to pieces is because people tested it and stacked TNT into it eventually toppling it and blowing the sides off leaving it as it is now. @Legal

I've been to the actual site where this bomb was tested. The shell is still somewhat intact and you can walk inside of it and see how the inside is slightly melted. Also the bunker they hid in is full of that green glass called trinitite after they pushed it in there with a bulldozer because it was too radioactive for the public to walk on
