FX-05E MK III
The export variant of the FX-05A "Freestyle". Developed in 1998 due to demand from the government of Ayhtokshva, the FX-05E was meant to be a cheaper and cut-down version of the FX-05A. The materials used in the FX-05A needed to withstand high temperatures, and thus were expensive. The FX-05E solved that by using a weaker engine that didn't get as hot, but it resulted in performance considered "inadequate" by the Ayhtokshva government. Not wanting to throw the project into the bin, CMC Industries decided to sell the aircraft to foreign governments who needed a desperate upgrade in their fleet of fighter aircraft, such as the Yeaknovich Commonwealth. However, since the FX-05E still contained classified technology such as its TVC system and the function of the front canards, the Aytokshv Government forced CMC Ind. to remove them.
