bjac.co Bullfrog Rally Truck AF
A ridiculous amount of changes since the last version but lets try to list em.
dont mind the cabin being a bit removed. the man is for scale.
Cabin changes
Extended back of cabin.
Fleshed out the interior of the cabin. (dials and tech and stuff n stuf)
H U L A .
couple of easter eggs. :>
Changed the interior colour to a darker scheme bc the high white colour content could lead to eye strain for VR players (admittedly I don't know if anyone can run this high a part count comfortably in VR but the change in colour scheme should help a little.
Shifted navigator seat (middle seat) a bit back.
You can now click on the cabin doors to open them instead of hitting the landing gear button.
Non cabin changes
Removed metallic effect from the main paint colours.
Added sponsors. (some may not be for the purpose of support [To clarify, the Jundroo logo is made 100% in support of the company, their not in my crosshairs here, all love to Andrew and the team for making this game])
Changed tertiary colour to relevant colours to the Jundroo brand.
Changed the fog lights to something more industrial-looking.
Added more signal lights on the external portion of the front wheel wells.
Added more mud-flaps on the external portion of the front wheel wells.
Added bjac.co logo to the mudflaps.
Increased the size of gaps on several part of the truck bc they were too small before.
Changed the shape of the side intake ducts.
Finished internal models for the side intake ducts.
Added covers to the spare wheels to cut down part count. (barely made a dent but whatever lol)
Added an ac unit on top of the cabin.
Changed the roof of the rear façade to a canvas roof.
Increased fuel capacity bc 205L is far too little; 205L would only cover a quarter of the mileage these things are expected to cover in a single tank.
Increased thickness of the external roll cage.
Improved mesh models.
Added a couple advertisement banners pointing to Jundroo.com.
Improved interior of rear façade.
WINDOW WIPERS!!!! :DDD (almost forgot to mention these)
Coding Changes
Motion smoothing code massively improved on both the cabin doors and service doors. (Had a bug where spamming the code would result in small increments sticking to the closed state. Honestly I think I might've been drunk when I originally wrote it, horrifically over complicated for what it was supposed to do.)
Engine coding refined so that performance characteristics are a bit more realistic. (Still needs work though).
Added little hydraulic pistons to the façade doors.
Reworked a portion of the front suspension to lead better into the bumper.
Things to improve
I would say to change the compass dial in the cabin to something else but the cabin is gonna be redone.
Need to redo major portions of the interior of the cabin. Initial design came from practically nowhere but now I have reference images to get some better ideas and make a better design. Don't fear the part count getting a bit high to make this look good. Gather feedback from VR users!
Try to improve acceleration characteristics. Currently the acceleration of this thing is 0-60 in about 5 seconds, when in reality it should be in the range of 7-15 seconds.
Top speed also needs to be increased.
Change the shape of the top inlet to match the sides.
Needs more sponsor logos, they feel a bit sparse.
