TBT Porbeagle
A fleet carrier-based torpedo bomber, it was the winner of a USN specification for a torpedo bomber that was rugged enough to operate on most carriers and land on makeshift runways in the Pacific. Even though it did poorly in it’s first combat operation, they were eventually able to become one of the main torpedo bombers in USN service. It was often distinguished from similar torpedo bombers for the large wheel pants underneath the wings, which gave the aircraft a nickname among USN personnel as the “Trouser”. It’s ruggedness allowed it to be used for years after the war in many utility purposes.
This is the first collab project on SP I have ever done, between me and TitanIncorporated. Because of this I call it the Torpedo Bomber Titan. It used to have a very unique gear retraction, but it caused a lot of balance issues with the aircraft that caused it to fly very, very poorly (worse than the Akuma). As a result I gave the wings a wider chord and a new, unique gear arrangement inspired by the AeMB.2 Bombi's gear. It not only looks very awesome in the air with these new gear, but it now flies a LOT better than the preceding prototypes. It's a little finicky to land on carriers, though, but I can assure you that it can land on the USS Beast. It is only somewhat able to take off of the USS Tiny, but you have to have your flaps up while taking off. There are two Wing MGs to go along with it's torpedo, and there is also a ferocious rear turret armed with two Wing MG's to defend itself from enemy fighters. There are working flaps, an arresting hook, landing lights, and a retractable tailwheel. I hope you enjoy flying this beauty, and a massive thank you to TitanIncorporated for bringing up the idea of a collab, as well as his contributions!
Gear to extend the tailwheel and turn on the landing lights.
VTOL to control the flaps.
AG1 to use the turret. Trim to control.
AG2 to extend the arresting hook.

Fun fact: The Akuma in the second picture is actually ramming the TBT, but the TBT survived, and the Akuma's wing caught on fire, which ended up looking really cool.
