KINGSFORD SMITH PL-7 TANKER

180 XLimits  7.6 years ago

The PL-7 Tanker, designed and built in only sixteen months, features an extremely unorthodox layout. The forward section of the fuselage contains a 45-cubic-foot tank which can accommodate a ton of phosphates. Spray booms are built into the trailing edges of the lower mainplanes. Electrically operated quick-release racks can be fitted under each of the lower wings for the carriage of supplies, fence posts, etc. From OBSERVER'S BOOK OF AIRCRAFT, 1958 Edition.
