Bomber challenge Avro Vulcan
This is my entry to the heavy bomber challenge and she needs no introduction. One of the most recognisable aircraft ever built (my other half even knows what a Vulcan looks like!) and sadly no longer flying. I always wanted to do a v bomber and after watching the Guy Martin documentary and hearing the howl of those engines on take off, my hairs stood up and I was left in awe. For the aircraft perverts I took some liberties with the weapons bay and enlarged it to accommodate the required bombs for this challenge. Fly it like the bomber she is and there shouldn't be too many problems. As with most delta-winged aircraft there's some nasty slow speed characteristics. I didn't realise how many were lost in real life due to accidents. The pilots were provided with ejectors, however the 3 in the back were not which led to a number of fatalities when things went arse over tit. VTOL down for flaps AG1 for bomb bay doors, AG2 for parachute, AG3 lights, bombs can be released one by one or hit the magic button AG7 for the "pain train".....needless to say be straight and level!
