Ltp
The light tank Provonova (LTP) - a draft design of a Soviet light tank, developed in July 1942 by Lieutenant Konstantin Yakovlevich Provornov from Ulyanovsk. The prototype was not released. The project was transferred to the Department of Inventions of the Main Auto Armored Directorate of the Red Army, where it remained in oblivion, as the tank could not compete with a tank that was similar to the T-70 tank that had already been put into production.
The LTP project was a lightweight 11 ton crawler tank, 4x2x1.9 m in size, armed with a 45 mm cannon with 150 rounds of ammunition and two machine guns, one DT coupled with a gun, and one course in a ball bearing, 75 machine shops for both guns cartridges.
The transmission had 4 forward speeds, providing a maximum speed of 45.1 km / h, and one rear, 6.75 km / h. Two automobile gasoline engines with a total capacity of 170 liters. from. consumed 0.9 liters of fuel per kilometer of rough terrain or 0.7 liters per kilometer on the highway. Thus, the fuel reserve of 500 liters would be enough for 300..430 kilometers of travel.
The project provided for two variants of the nose armor of the hull: the alternative variant had a greater angle of inclination of the frontal part and the felling of the mechanic driver.
