You and your fellow pilots get a new plane and... it is not as fast or agile as your previos plane , the p51 mustang, but you have to work with it. As you get in a dog fight you see the true powers this plane has. Your engine and wings gets hit several times, but some how you are still flying. On the ground you learn from your machenic you had severel hundret bullets in the engine and wings to the point that other planes would have just bursted or went up in flames
