About the Beijing Shanghai express
On April 18, 2004, 12 pairs of Z-series trains and 1 pair of express trains running on the Beijing–Shanghai railway after the fifth major speed increase of China Railway were collectively called as AC380V domestic 25T underbody or imported BSP 25T underbody, which were pulled by Dongfeng 11G Internal combustion locomotive. Among them, train Z13/14 and train Z21/22 are the flagship trains of China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd., which are named "Oriental" and "New Century", upgraded from the original T13/14 and T21/22. Most trains have now ceased operation, with only four pairs of trains, namely Beijing Nantong Z29/30, Z51/2, Taizhou Harbin West Z156/7 Z158/5 (formerly T156/7 T158/5), and Beijing Fengtai Hefei Z225/8 Z227/6 (formerly Z73/4), still in operation.
