P-24E Warhorse
The P-24E Warhorse is my attempt to blend togther in my opinion the best designs of the famed Itlian aircraft designer, Giuseppe Gabrielli. The Warhorse, (Destriero in Itilian) tries to capture the fuslage and wing structure of the early war G.50, and also having a smooth inline engine with a gun firing through the hub, like the more advanced fiat G.55. The P-24 is powered by a 1400HP V12 engine driving a automatic pitch three balde propeller. The Armament consists of five .50 caliber machine guns with two on top of the engine firing through the propeller arc with an interruptor gear, two in the wing roots firing the same way, and the remaining gun fires through the hollow propeller shaft and out the propeller hub. This tight arrangment of the guns all around the nose gives the P-24 exceptional accuracy at long ranges, but more importantly it lets you land hits with all of your guns when you are up close. The landing gear is custom, as well as the rear control surfaces. because of thier higher part count, the are able to take much more damage in battle before failing. the cockpit is complitley custom instead of using a standart cockpit block. enjoy.
