Protetor SV 808 - A
Backstory
In the 70's, the brazilian air force have a substantial gap on high altitude defence, despite many tries, the acquirement of interceptors have failed, it was clear that the main potencies haven't the intent of allow other countries have such type of defence.
With this in mind a project of local produced aircraft was born, the SV808-A should be a super-sonic hight altitude interceptor, with 2x 30mm cannon, capable to carry 4x AA missiles and auxilary fuel tanks. Should have a service ceiling of 17.000 meters and be capable to reach mach 1.8.
Dispite the enthusiasm for the project, the starting studies have show that such project was too much for the air force economy or even for the produtive capabilities of the local aviation industry
