The Aircraft
The C.43 was created in 1942 as a fighter, it was considered one of Iosia’s best aircraft when it went into service because it had a powerful and reliable engine and four 12.7mm machine guns, two being in the nose and the other two being in the wings. While it’s maneuverability wasn’t the best, good pilots could exploit it’s features using the plane with boom n’ zoom tactics, making it highly successful.
When Spike got her hands on the C.43, she thought the plane wasn’t good enough and made some modifications, adding a better engine, more armor and two 40mm cannons with HE rounds at the cost of the wing MGs, which made the plane even more sluggish at turning, although not affecting the speed too much. After a few sorties, she realized hitting planes with the cannons was quite difficult, so she got rounds with fuzes, making the aircraft even more lethal.
The Squadron
Heartbreak squadron is composed by two twins with questionable sanity, Cupid 1 aka “Spike” and Cupid 2 aka “Lightning”, which are bounty hunters hired by Iosia to hunt enemy aces. They stalk their prey and attack when the enemy ace is returning to it’s base, as most of the times the ace is alone and out of ammo, which makes the “fight” easy for the twins. If their prey attacks back, they use a tactic called the “Thach Weave” using Cupid’s 2 plane, which is an agile dogfighter as bait, so Spike can get a clear shot on the enemy.
If a battle got too intense, the squadron would also be deployed to help allied forces. They racked 89 kills from 1942 to 1944.

Handling, stability, agility: 10 points :: 8/10 - Very fast, very stable, though the high rate of roll has me concerned, other than that, this is a pleasure to fly.
Realistic model and behavior: 10 points :: 7/10 - Very P-47esque, being said it's a realistic model that had shown the test of time irl and it shows in game with similar behaviors bar its roll rate, which I guess it adopts from its P-51 like wings, though, albiet a tad stronger. The aircraft's flaps do have minimal affect on landing and the brakes... oh the brakes...
Details, paint and other: 10 points :: 8/10 - The primary yellow plane feels like its trying to make itself a target, though I do very much like the metalic silver, checkerboarded engine area, and hearts, I'm going to forgive the insignias and hearts sticking outwards due to limitations without making each one dozens of parts.
Build quality: 10 points :: 8/10 - the interior is very nice, though it feels super cramped, ejecting doesn't exactly work, and the landing gear seems to dig into the wheels. Other than that, the overall build of the plane is phenominal.
Personal impression: 10 points :: 9/10 - right off the bat I was intrigued by the plane before downloading due to its design (and a small bias as the P-47 is a favorite of mine), a few minor gripes here and there knocked down a point but over all, its a fun aircraft.
