Alexander Schleicher ASH-30

5,312 Static  6.4 years ago

The ASH 30, developed in 2011 by the world's oldest sailplane manufacturer Alexander Schleicher, is a glider built to replace the previous ASH 25. The glider featured an impressive 25.6m(87 foot!) wingspan, giving it an impressive range, and an enlarged canopy, giving the pilots better vision. This particular one is the prototype flown for its maiden flight by Martin Heide and Peter Kremer on April 7th of 2011. It's also one of the best looking gliders in my opinion, and I've tried to do it justice in this replica.

Important information:
-Do not fly above 125 mph.
-Stalls at 40 mph.
-Optimal cruise speed is between 60 and 70 mph.
-AG 2 for lights!

@CRJ900Pilot Indeed, but I got an "It's ok" when I asked about scaling the whole thing down, so I believe it's fine.
