QAS T-35 Falcon

The T-35 'Falcon' is a fictional first generation jet trainer loosely based off of the Lockheed T-33 and BAC Jet Provost. Our marketing team was quite stumped on what to put here since there really isn't that much to say or highlight about this plane. It's just a trainer jet. It was designed to train pilots that are unfamiliar with landing on carriers and aerial refueling. It's quite stable and spin resistant at the expense of performance.

Admittedly, the details of the T-35 are quite "lackluster". The goal of the T-35 was to provide a compromise between aesthetics, function, and part count in order to be used for VR or on mobile devices. The first version had +300 parts and proved to be too much for mobile, so here's the 200 part version.

There were frequent debates in our corporate division about offering a light attacker version of the T-35, but the engineering department had already made a prototype before a final decision was made by corporate. So here's that I guess?

Max Speed: 1040 kph (646 mph)
Never Exceed Speed: 1160 kph (721 mph)
Stall Speed: 180 kph (112 mph)
Absolute Ceiling: T-35: 20000 Meters (~65000 ft) TA-35: 18000 Meters (~60000 ft)
Maximum Range: Range? What Range? Just Refuel!
Max Sustained Gs: 11.2G

Our engineering department has been experimenting with Funky Trees to create a variable thrust engine that responds to airspeed and altitude.

The T-35 uses our new CFT-2025 engine, which prioritizes thrust at higher altitudes. The TA-35 uses its sibling the CFT-1830, which provides more thrust at lower altitudes at the expense of high altitude performance. Both engines use a water injection system to provide maximum thrust at low speeds, though it does increase fuel usage significantly.

Nerd Stuff

It's pretty basic. VTOL for Flaps. V1 Speed is around 220 kph with full flaps. All functions can be performed from the cockpit relatively easily. When landing on the USS Beast, try to aim for a speed of 195 kph.

Action Groups

Thanks for the feedback @AndrewGarrison. I now understand why the new seats were added. I wasn't aware of the clipping issues, so I'll take that into account for my next build.

This is a nice build in VR. My only complaint is the dummy on the seat makes it a little hard to see as my view is always clipping through the dummy mesh. Other than that, it's a lot of fun to fly.
