This odd looking aircraft was designed as a Convertiable Jet VTOL fighter designed by both Focke-Wulf and France's SNECMA, this design mostly rose out of the frustration of pilots trying to land a aircraft while facing upward, the "nutcracker" design where the cockpit faces at a 90 degree angle putting the pilot in a more natural position, although a very ambitious design the design never got beyond development stage (VTOL to Convert to jet, INSTRUCTIONS: throttle up and let the aircraft climb once at 1000ft convert to jet mode and it's smooth sailing from then on, Note its kinda slow at low altitude to get some speed climb up to 10,000+ the aircraft retains a lot of energy so getting up there isn't very hard

That's a really unique and innovative concept! I've never seen anything like it before. The 'nutcracker' cockpit is a clever solution to the challenges of VTOL landings.
Pretty cool. Gotta hand it to the Germans at least they were very innovative.
Weirdest VTOL plane!
@vonhubert ah
@Dumpworks thats a very good build and it just cool you have made this design)
@NativeChief1492 nope, french are the sane ones, they wanted to make at least a cockpit horisontal) and this very very vertical takeoff and landing is a german ww2 idea)
Ahhh . . . The French
