This was another long-range, high-speed interceptor to defend the US from Soviet bombers, this aicraft would've been capable of Mach 3 and an unrefueled combat range of 1,200 miles, this aircraft to limit development time was going to use the same engines as North American's XB-70 "Valkyrie",only a wooden mock-up was created and it was cancelled in 1959 due to a shortage of funds and the Soviet's adoption of Ballistic missles, though if it ws built it would've been the largest fighter of it's era

@JohnnyBoythPilot to save cost the 108 uses the same engines as the B-70, the B-70 was first
Work on the XF-108 would later influence the A-5 Vigilante and obviously the XB-70 Valkyrie.
The best interceptor we never hade, PS at maximum weight it weighed more than a b-17
