Another WW2 era fighter, this one entered RAF service in 1937 and was retired in 1949. 200 pilots reached ace status in the Swallow and another 67 who scored kills in the plane made ace flying other planes. The Navy also operated Sea Swallows from aircraft carriers as interceptors and scout planes from 1940 to 1956.
