The quad-engined short-haul jet
Comets were considered as unique for Nanhua International Airlines as they were delivered on June 1962 in order to boost more profit until they were retired on 1993 to be replaced by newer short-haul jets like the Tupolev TU-204. Fitted with the Rolls-Royce Avon axial flow jet engine, the Comet was remarkable as a legend while having the smaller predecessor, the Comet 1 fitted only the Halford H2/De Havilland Ghost jet engine.
