C-40A-1
Some history:
The C-40 is a rocket-powered flying wing that first flew in late 1943 and entered service in early 1945. Because the rocket was powerful, it was unattainable for piston-engined aircraft, but the rocket was so powerful that the C-40 could exceed its own top speed, C-40 pilots had to make sure they didn't have 100% rocket power if they were going at 560 mph, as the wings would be torn off at 596 mph, besides, the rocket consumed a lot of fuel quickly, making the fuel last approximately 2 minutes with 100% power, and because of that, the C-40 had to be transported by a larger aircraft such as a Parasite aircraft if it had to travel a long distance to reach its destination.
Engine: CO-113A
The aircraft it's armed with:
- Two 20 mm cannons (193 ammunition for each cannon)
- Ten 100 mm rockets
Controls:
- Change vision position to try to see under the nose with Activate 2
- Eject with Acitvate 4
Flight perfomance:
(All the perfomance without the rocket pods)
Max speed in a straight line at 3000 ft: 850 mph / 1367 km/h (It's suppossed to be 570 mph / 917 km/h but the rocket it's too powerful)
Turn time at 300 mph
At 100% power:
- Vertical: 12 s
- Horizontal: 12 s
At 50% power:
- Vertical: 13 s
- Horizontal: 12 s
At 25% power:
- Vertical: 14 s
- Horizontal: 12 s
Speed to take off:
- Without the rocket pods: 159 mph / 255 km/h
- With the rocket pods: 167 mph / 268 km/h
If you want, remove the rocket pods to be only a fighter.
