Vector 221 AEWC/Light Recon Plane
The Vector 221 is a Light Recon and AEWC craft delivering new advancements to the battlefield. Unlike traditional AEWC aircraft, this smaller platform allows for closer work to the front lines and in greater numbers, providing a much clearer picture for troops on the ground and other aircraft flying in the combat zone.
She is equipped with a Radar Stick mounted above the wing, which provides a 300 degree view at a range of 300km for air targets. She is also fitted with two "Drop Drones", which can be left over hot-spots for live video feed of events unfolding below. Lastly, she has two short range air-to-air missiles for self defense, should a foe try to conquer this spy.
The plane itself is coated in a Matte Composite, which helps blur and reduce radar signature to enemy forces. The twin-boom design also helps, with less fuselage surface area to detect. She has an ideal surveillance height around 18,000 Ft, and a top speed near 500 Mph.
Features:
-Standard Flight Controls
-VTOL for flaps
-Ag-1 to drop reserve tank
-Ag-2/3 to release/parachute Drop Drone 1
-Ag-4/5 to release/parachute Drop Drone 2
Ag-6 to ditch AA missiles.
I am excited to release what is realistically only the second aircraft of my own invention, and not a replica. It flies well, looks cool, and If you as me, makes a pretty plausible Recon Plane. As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements or if there is a vehicle you would like to see made. Thank you for stopping by to look, and enjoy your flight!!
