The 7J7 is an American short- and medium-haul airliner proposed by Boeing in the 1980s. It could have carried 150 passengers and was touted as the successor to the successful Boeing 727. It was originally planned to be commissioned in 1992. It was originally intended to be used as a highly fuel-efficient UDF aircraft with new technology, but it was postponed indefinitely following the drop in oil prices in the 1980s
