@Authros I'm on PC with maximum settings, so it's probably more accurate then. But the physics shouldn't change actually. :)
I find that the affect of the lift is dependant on settings and device. @BRuthless
@Authros The fuel loss isn't calculated in SimplePlanes. For me it pitches down when swept forwards and pitches even more down when swept backwards, where it doesn't really react to my pitch controls anymore. I've put the CoM back myself and now it works wonderfully. :)
Agreed. i tried to align the CoM and CoL as best I can with that in mind. it flies straight swept back and lifts slightly in the normal position. I couldn't put the weight too far back because it became too agile in normal mode. Also, after the fuel is depleted, it becomes even more agile. @BRuthless
Georgeus! The CoM is a bit misplaced though. It has to be far more in the back so the craft remains maneuverable when the wings are swept back. The CoL moves backwards with the wings, so the CoM is further away then. The CoM creates a momentum around a horizontal axis, which is positioned at the CoL. The momentum gets bigger, the further the CoM is away from the CoL. The CoL is only displayed by SimplePlanes in the normal state, so you only see where it is when the wings are swept fully forwards. It's trial and error to get a good proportion of CoL and CoM on swept wing designs in SimplePlanes. The best way is to test it at full speed. With the wings swept fully forwards, it should pitch up and with the wings swept fully backwards, it should pitch down a tiny bit or stay level. But that is really the only thing someone could ever complain about it. Very great design! :)
yours is way more accurate lol
awesome!
YAY
@Geebers hah
@Noman0rumeral bs, you can be mine!

@Wahoo12 haha
@Noman0rumeral
Hot damn! At 1500 ft and ~1285 mph, it can pull steady 13.8G turns with the wings folded!
@Wahoo12
Up vote 25!
@TheLatentImage I believe the proper response is "You can be my wingman anytime " ;)
@Geebers lol awesome, thanks man. :-)
Amazing in every way.
@TheLatentImage negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
@bobthetitan you know it! I've got that sing memorized, so I can almost recite it while playing SP
Hell, no! I almost finish my F14 and gonna publish it today, then I saw this one!!
Dude, this is cool
Love F-14s
