FlightArms LF-18 Bluejay

Auto Credit Based on AtlasMilitaryIndustries's AMA T-18 Talon

The LF-18 Bluejay is a tandem seat, single engine, light multirole fighter built by FlightArms for export.

The Bluejay is the result of a rushed project for a mass produced combat airframe that's easy to build, easy to maintain, and cost effective, but retains firepower and lethality as a fully fledged fighter aircraft. The LF-18 was designed in the heat of the currently ongoing TFM-Darkcorp conflict to answer the need for lightweight, easily workable combat jet by multiple countries. Although not as hardened as dedicated fighters such as the F-16 Viper, F/A-18 Hornet, or MiG-29 Fulcrum, the Bluejay has more than enough potential to match up to the aforementioned fighters' reputations.

The Bluejay was developed heavily from Atlas Military Aviation's T-18 Talon advanced trainer. In all physical sense, the airframe remains quite unchanged. But FlightArms did their masterful work that made great airframes even greater: Gutting them empty and replacing everything inside with their own.

Almost all internals of the LF-18 have been either vastly improved on or replaced wholesale from it's original iteration. The overall strength of the airframe was greatly improved to withstand higher G rates, taking full advantage of it's natural maneuverability due to it's size, Latest avionics have been installed in place of the older instrumentations, among the most notable is the holographic instrument screen and head's up display that largely supplanted the slightly outdated panels and keypad displays pre-installed within the aircraft, giving pilots advanced overview on the status of their Bluejay while maintaining minimal cockpit clutter.

Although the innards of the jet have been well upgraded, the weaponry it carries is still the standard FlightArms ordnance regularly equipped on all TFMGAC airframes. One system stands out, though. The Taiga Aerial Attack Rocket System, a new aircraft-mounted MLRS pod system to supplant older Hydra 70, Zuni FFAR, and CRV-7 rocket systems. The Taiga AARS fires heavy 150mm fin stabilized high explosive rockets used against infantry, armored vehicles, and even tanks.

The Bluejay Light Multirole Fighter costs 18-24 million USD depending on the model ordered by customers. The higher the price, the better the model. If one's looking for a cheap market combat aircraft, and they have a friend that wants to fly along, there's no better option.

INSTRUCTIONS ARE WITHIN THE AIRCRAFT. THEY WILL APPEAR ONCE YOU ARE LOADED INTO THE GAME
