The M9A1
is a prototype
cluster bomb carrying 24 Sub-Munitions which will fire in a Shield Pattern 7 seconds after drop. It has an explosive yield of 6.5 500 pound 'Boom 50' Bombs.
While it may be large and heavy with a small munition count, the munitions are deadly, and the pattern of release ensures at least one hit. The pattern consists of three rings, an inner, and outer, and a medium.
The Inner Ring consists of 10 Explosives. These have very little spread.
The Outer Ring consists of 10 Explosives. These have large spread.
The Medium Ring consists of 4 Explosives. These have an average spread for those who can't get the altitude right.
To launch, Press the FIRE button on desired target. Drop the M9A1 above 2,500 Feet for maximum spread and damage.
