During ww2 in the 1940s, the U.S. was in war and needed a way to train pilots without using their more expensive planes. John Carlson came up with a design for a plane that would be cheap to make and efficient for training in. Days later, the U.S. started manufacturing these planes for the military to use. In our present time today, there are only 54 of these planes in good condition. The Intermifent Dame-943 was a popular plane in its time.
