Model 105/Mark 1 Service Pistol
The primary sidearm for both the Pilotmario Army and the Olympian Army. It relies on a Browning-style short-recoil system. In Pilotmario service, it was chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, and held 10 shots, plus one in the chamber. The 9mm caliber was chosen since the Pilotmarian Army felt it had a reasonable combination of good stopping power and accuracy without excessive recoil. In Olympian service, it was chambered for the more powerful 7.62x25mm cartridge, and held 10 shots, plus one in the chamber. It derived its power from the higher velocity, increasing its accuracy and stopping power without too much additional recoil. The Olympian pistols are often considered superior to the Pilotmarian models, due to the more powerful round; the 7.62mm Tokarev was able to punch through the new Pilotmarian Army Kevlar helmet with standard-issue steel-core copper-jacketed ammunition. The Pilotmario Army responded with the introduction of a .40 caliber variant, with 9 shots in the magazine plus one in the chamber. This pistol, known as the Mark 1A, was superior to the Olympian pistol, and a 9mm pistol could be converted to this cartridge by changing the barrel, extractor, and magazine. This pistol is an example of the Pilotmario 9mm variant.
