Disclaimers
Yes I put a Pieprzenie 16in gun on this tank.
Also, similarly to the Romantic, the tank is named for a game I played.

History
Older than the MDA medium tank
Similarly to the Excelsior II, the Canopic is based on the older M35 medium tank.
The M35 hasn't seen any combat, and probably won't unless I put a ICBM on it. Or I can put a drone launcher on it and turn it into a Kamikaze Drone tank.
An old SPG
The follow up is the M72 Crocodile. Similarly to the M73 Kicker, it was built by Australia.
The M73 Kicker would only see service in the first Battle for Bandit during the STL War and would test to see the range of the 6in Brooklyn class cruiser gun, although the test was a fail, it was shown the need for a long range artillery cannon.
Different start. Starts in the T-C War
The other line of the tank we are talking about starts in the T-C War, the Imperial Jaguar.
(Jaguar F2 is shown above)
The three tanks that make up this Jaguar I line is the Jaguar, Jaguar F1, and Jaguar F2. There are very few differences so I'll make it short: Jaguar F1 is a Jaguar I but with a longer gun. The Jaguar F2 is a Jaguar F1 but with spaced armor and a full 180° of rotation.
Next up, TB War
The next line is the Jaguar II line. The Jaguar II is the next tank series.
(A Jaguar II F2 shown above)
The Jaguar II had very minor changes similar to the Jaguar I, the changes are as follows: Jaguar II F1 was a Jaguar II but with a longer gun, and the Jaguar II F2 was a Jaguar II F1 with a bigger gun.
Combination
The M72 had a major fault, that being range, and the chassis was too limited to mount a bigger gun. Then a worker at Anton had an Idea to take a captured Jaguar II F1 Chassis and stick a prototype 16in Cannon on the Jaguar II F1 Chassis.
.
Now
The Canopic was a SPG built for one thing, and one thing only. Attacking fortifications from range. The Anton Metal Works have added the new rangefinder and targeting system making this a lethal threat.
It was powered by a single V6 Petrol engine, the same engine that powered the Cheetah and Jaguar series tanks. It was crewed by twelve people, one commander/gunner, one driver/radio operator, and then loaders too load the massive 16in gun.
