Le mans winning beauty

About the 499p

The Ferrari 499p is a brand new hyper car made for the WEC racing series and is the 2023 overall le mans winner on its first attempt at the legendary race course. The body is a complete carbon fiber monocoque, and according to the ferrari website, "the body has been tuned by the ferrari styling centre under the direction of Flavio Manzoni." The car has a hybrid powertrain with a v6 engine taken from the 296 gt3, and extensively tuned by ferrari engineers. The electric motor has a differential and recharges the battery during decel and braking requiring no outside power source.

controls

  • Pitch and roll for movement
  • Ag1- doors

Builders note: this has been a very fun project to make and has helped with getting new techniques for building modern race cars. I put this one on hold for a bit to make the sprint car, and really liked how it has turned out. Ever sense i saw the first reveal of this car about a year ago i knew i had to make it and finally got around to doing it. The car on my phone is soooo laggy so i just get it to where i think it'll drive good so hopefully its an ok driving experience. While i was trying to take screenshots it crashed 3 times so yeaaaa... None the less i hope you enjoy driving this beast of italian engineering. (Also once i can find good blueprints im going to make the new Lamborghini hypercar)

thanks to LiutenentSOT for testing and feedback!

keep looking to the stars

@SPMistatopi edit the xml, especially the "DragScale" and also use the three line tool on the build menu to see the drag areas

@Lucas0116 go to the wheels, add more traction, could add more hp on the engine, those are really the only things if you want it to be accurate still.
