”Is this the search for Shelter...”
This here is the Axolotl, another very unique lizard subspecies in RainWorld. They’re the only lizard in the game that can breathe underwater using their gills, allowing them to be able to hide underwater from the rain, so they aren’t pummeled to death by 50. Cal sized raindrops traveling at Mach 7. As for other lizard species, their time underwater is limited to say the least.
Here’s a GIF of one:
Controls:
VTOL to walk/run, Yaw to turn. Pitch and Roll for head movement. Trim for mouth movement. AG-1 plus Pitch and Roll to angle yourself on sloped surfaces, to make it easier to walk. This can also be used to crouch or rear up on flat ground, although it does look a little weird.
Now for the fun controls! AG-2 to move your legs to a swimming position. Throttle to start swimming. You can dive underwater, or move to the surface via pitch. Yaw controls your horizontal movement in water. To start, you can either spawn in the water, or spawn on land close to water, walk into the water, and change to swimming mode while you’re submerging yourself. It’s slightly complicated, but you’ll get the hang of it.
I should also mention that RainWorld Axolotls come in two different color variations, a dark purple one, and light pink one. I just did the dark purple one because it contrasts nicely with the bright pink color of the gills.
This is the last “normal” RainWorld lizard I’ll be uploading, as there’s only nine canon lizards in the game. Any other lizard I post after this will most likely be a lizard from a mod.
Have Fun in Shorelines!

THIS IS NIGHTMARE FUEL
@NexusGaming sure, I just have to make one first. Funny thing is, I know how to make them, and I’m really good at it, but I’ve never actually made a UFO Flight-Model subassembly, so maybe I could post something like that for the community to enjoy lol
It looks like an amaphyll from roblox dragon adventures
@AWESOMENESS360 can you tag me on a normal sized version of your UFO drive? (if possible i'd like it to automatically cancel out any yaw)
@Spitfire2013 sorta I guess, but this is a replica of an Axolotl from RainWorld, so not exactly.
Amaphyll without wings
Fair
@Werboithescientist well they’re from a game that has really strange creature evolution, so it’s not exactly the most accurate thing to compare it with real world creatures.
Not to be a nerdy nerd, but axolotls are real and are amphibians like frogs or salamanders. Lizards got scales. These guys feel like frogs
