"Precious Metal" P51D competed in the 2014 Reno Air Race. Six conta-rotating propeller blades were powered by a special 3,200 hp Griffon engine. Precious Metal used Learjet wings, and could fly 500+ mph at 1,000 foot racing altitudes. This model uses all stock SP components. Like the real plane, takeoff is marginal: LIFT UP FAST!
