I was putting a .25 block in the first hinge and connecting the second hinge to the block. It never occurred to me to put one hinge directly into another.
Well, at least, I took the weight out of it and applied a swivel to the front end. When the leading aircraft rolls, you don't want the tow to roll, as well. It just woudn't look real.
Save as a subassembly and apply to aircraft.
