Short Information

The JSRC Daltanious is a family of twin-engine variable-geometry multi-role fighter aircraft jointly developed by the Joint-Strike Research Consortium, consisting of each manufacturer:

  • Arsean Aerospace (Arsea)
  • Nataviozione (Natalitan Dominion)
  • Matsuzaka Aeronautical Corporation (Soviet Fabella > Fabellan Federation)
  • Poyasakai (Karyan Union)
  • Atlantine Aircraft Industries (Atlantines)

There are three generations being built, most likely the Mk.I, II, and III variants. All are capable of any mission assigned. However, most Daltanious operators are widely used for strike missions, while for the Atlantine Air Force, they were being used as interceptor aircraft to make way for the AAI Cyclone multirole fighter.

Known for its flight tests in the early 60s, she was known as the "Grandmother of the Akagi" since variable-geometry aircraft were to dominate the skies - the MRF.27 Akagi as next. The Daltanious entered service by 1968 starting with the Mk.I, 1983 with the Mk.II, then the final variant as the Mk.III in 1997 with integrated systems and improved flight performance data.

By its course, the Daltanious sought missions during terrorist insurgencies, crusades, and conflicts. It conducted low-altitude strike missions, interceptions, and anti-ship attacks during the Cold War era, then bombings during crusades. It was proven to be the most reliable strike fighter despite having such drawbacks.

Until today, the Daltanious still remains to be one of the most sophisticated fighters ever built. As I inspired it from the Panavia Tornado, Mirage F2 / G, and Su-24, these are among the variable-sweep strike fighter plans to be finally built after series of cancellations in my design list.

This is by far my first aircraft to feature automated flaps and auto-lock spoilerons, with an automatic wing-sweep system thanks to @Beefy with the codes.

Daltanious Mk.III

The final variant was unveiled in 1993 and entered service by 1997. With advanced avionics, a new radar, integrated designator and reconnaissance systems, and a new powerplant - the AeroPower Antares 100 (replacing the non-reverser AEU Atlaus) with its notable feature: clamshell thrust reversers. Deemed as the most powerful among the previous variants.

Armament

  • 4x Paveway GBU (Beefy)
  • 4x Oyashiro ATGMs (Quackykaze)
  • 4x AAM-173s (Quackykaze)
  • 2x 23mm TKsk-23 autocannon

Features

  • Automated Swing-wing, auto-lock spoilerons and flaps, as well as some coding on some surfaces and flight model improvements (Beefy)
  • Semi-mobile friendly model to some devices
  • Custom weapons, decals, and detailed thingyJeegs
  • FT'd REVERSE THRUST

May not be mobile-friendly. But calculateDrag is off on almost all parts... I hope this fixes it.

Activation Groups

  • AG1 to deploy airbrakes
  • AG2 to activate all weapons
  • AG3 to enable gyro cruise assist
  • AG4 to extend refueling probe
  • AG5 to open radome
  • AG6 to deploy emergency hook
  • AG7 for manual wing sweep mode (VTOL UP)

Special thanks to:
Beefy for codes, Quackykaze, Marble, Cerdd, Tatsu, and several other testers.

By far, this should be one of my last builds in 1.10 until the 1.11 beta update rolls out. As always, stay safe, and may God bless you. Aim high-nanodesu. Nipah~
