Fairey Barracuda II Bomber
The Barracuda II was a carrier-based bomber that was used in WWII. Its distinctive Youngman flaps (which I could not successfully implement) were fitted to the folding wings. There were pick-up points for bomb racks in each wing, behind the wing camera and beside the fuel tank. The plane had a specially designed X-shaped Rolls-Royce engine, later phased into a 1640hp Merlin. The only weaponry other than the payload of bombs were two gas-operated Vickers K machine guns from the rear cockpit (fired by the radio operator) I tried to stay true to the original design, but due to time constraints I was not able to make some facets of the plane. Also, the nose tends to rise during flight. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Throttle up to 100%. 2. At 90mph, pull up. 3. Done.
