DUW-1 Air Superiority Fighter
PAK FA inspired. Supercruise at 1000mph. Designed to replicate supermaneuverability and thrust vectoring. At speeds between 200mph and 400mph the DUW-1 will be able to perform high alpha maneuvers such as the Pugachev's Cobra and J-Turn. Recovery from stalled flight must be initiated as soon as speed drops below 200mph by applying power and centreing controls until speed exceeds 200mph again. If you enter a deep stall the recovery method is controls centred and full throttle applied until speed exceeds 400mph. At speeds above 400mph the DUW-1 is on rails. The DUW-1 will stay in controlled flight under full up pitch provided speed never drops below 400mph. The high thrust to weight ratio means that you can sustain perfect turn radius until you run out of fuel. Features spoilers for nose down trim which are operated via VTOL. Fuel can be added ONLY infront of the Centre of Gravity. This will lower maneuverability. Approach speed for landing is 220mph with 120mph touchdown. Never allow your speed to drop below 200mph or you will lose control authority and need to power out of the stall.
