The Cameron Co-2 was a french CAS/Heavy fighter designed in 1941 in the french colonies of africa. Few were manufactured due to the lack of resources and tested in the african campaining against the italians and germans. The plane was good against german armor and light vehicles. It could carry a load of 2 250lbs bombs and rocket pods. The plane soon retired in 1943 when it was replaced by better aircraft like the p-47 Thunderbolt. It was not used against naval targets due to extremely short range. Few planes remain in the museums of paris.
