A-17 Silver Buzzard

Intro
And the final Jet fighter for some time, rounding off the current airforce’s main combat capacity (apart from dedicated ground attack) is the A-17 “Silver Buzzard”. A 4+++ generation medium fighter and the bulk of the WAF alongside it’s lighter A-13 predecessor. This version is the Block III mass production version A. Future updates will be made.

Description
For years the A-13 served as the prime light-medium fighter for the Winolian Airforce, replacing the Kestrel for over a generation. However, as the aircraft in service began to reach the end of their operational lifespans a question was raised. Replace the fleet with a new A-13S Variant known as the A-13AD or accept an entirely new design from Dejen marked as Project 17. Project 17’s fate fluctuated widly throught its development, almost prompting the Airforce to retract all funding and cancel the project. Fortunately, it was allowed to compete with the A-13AD. It proved worthwhile.

Specs
The A-17 is a stable fighter, capable of equipping advanced weapons and avionics developed on the A-16 while still being cost-efficient and easy to manage. It borrowed low observable features designed on the Goshawk, combined those with coatings used on the A-14 and was able to carry a full payload and a full tank with the capability to equip two full Mk.1A drop tanks.

It features the ever titular optoelectronics front mounted optical screen for advanced forward combat but with an added feature where the IR beans can be manually directed allowing pilots to engage 30 degrees in either direction. It carries a Mushtak 112 rotary cannon and is capable of carrying up to 10 missiles on its wings. Additionally, it is capable of supercruise (without drop tanks). The Block 3 variant is loaded with Taktix-1 which, although not as advanced as Taktix-2, is highly effective when deployed with a Taktix-2 aircraft such as the A-16.

Controls and AG’s

Controls:
Normal aircraft controls
Trim to level flight

Action groups:
AG1 - Drop Tanks
AG2 - Stage One Lights (Used for night Take-off)
AG3 - Stage 2 light (Night flying)
AG4 - Drag Chute
[Hopefully, I haven’t missed anything out]

Notes
Yeah it flies quite good. Inspired by both the F-16 and the JF-17 fighters as far as design goes. F-16 as far as operational parameters go. Block 3 Advanced will probably incorporate Taktix-2 as it’s main management system. Possibly T-V engines as well.
