Jonsson Aviation JF-480 Stjornu Rak
FICTIONAL BACKSTORY:
In 1970, Iceland needed it's own plane to defend it's airspace. Although the US Air Force provided Air Cover for them, they weren't there permanently, and with tensions rising in the Middle East and the threat of terrorism increasing, Jonsson Aviation stepped up to the plate to design a new plane.
In a matter of 5 years, Jonsson Aviation completed their design. The result was an incredibly powerful and sleek aircraft, capable of fighting any plane of it's time. However, due to it's expensive price, only 17 were made, all delivered to the new Icelandic Air Force.
I spent alot of time adding as many details as I could, I hope you guys enjoy it.

@AstonMartin145 That is the lone exception, it was to celebrate my progress.
What about that p47 you made on the end of 2017?
:(
@AstonMartin145 I'm not making anything WWII.
Could you make a bf109k4?
@Lavi I don't own a group lol. There are multiple discord servers including the Grand SP Server which I recommend, just let me know if you are interested.
thank god it's 241 parts!
@shipster fuselage inlets
Хей, а как вы вставляете картинки в описание?)
Also, how did you do the colour on the tail?!? It overlaps! Please share the plans with the rest of us!
@EpicPigster1 alright! I just couldn't tell his tone, so I made sure! :)
@EpicPigster1 no problem
@EternalDarkness Thank you for the pointers, definitely will remember to implement them. I'm really glad you enjoy this plane, I'll make the next one even better thanks to the suggestions :)
@shipster Thanks for standing up for me, but I don't need it. This is how I learn.
@EternalDarkness :)
@shipster I'm glad to hear that.
@EternalDarkness Ok. Love your builds by the way.
@shipster I understand that. For future notice, I never comment on a plane if I don't like it, except if it's breaking rules. And I always have improvements to suggest, and I understand that a builder may have his reason not to implement them. And don't worry, I'm not annoyed by your comment :)
@EternalDarkness ok then. I suppose I perceived your words incorrectly. Sometimes typing doesn't get the point across the right way. Sorry.
@shipster I'm just giving him suggestions, not saying it sucks. I have modified the aircraft to my personal liking for the second flight I did on it. As for time, 90min SP time, you would have enough fuel to halfway down the runway, basically. Even on the longest day settings, time (earth's rotation) is accelerated 3x. And time that you feel on SP is normal. If you go 120mph, you will go 120 miles in one real hour, and 40 miles in SP hour.
@EternalDarkness also, 90 minutes realtime or SimpleTime?
@EternalDarkness the aircraft is fictional, just for the fun, not it being realistic.
@EpicPigster1 I would agree with armament if every missile had its own pylon. Launching four missiles from one looks way too arcadish, and lock angle so big kills all the fun of getting on the enemy's tail. Early infra-red missiles used to have around 5-15° lock angle (interceptor missile), and radar guided (Guardian) around 20°. And gun armament was usually made up of 20-30mm single-barrel cannons and 12.7mm machine guns. Still, it was fun flying this plane.
One more thing: add at least enough fuel for 90 minutes of flight.
@EternalDarkness I'll keep it in mind for next time, I thought Cold War fighters needed more missiles lol. Thanks for your feedback, i'm planning to make more like this.
Design is very nice, and performance are great. But armament is a bit of an overkill.
