The Kabaya Ka-1 was an autogyro developed by the Japanese Army during World War II. It had saw service as an artillery spotter, and even planned for ASW warfare against US submarines.

Helicopters and autogyro a are similar but not the same. Autogyros still require runway to lift off the ground. @TheBlueRobotProduct
