AT-DP walker from Star Wars. Based on TheFreemaker's one.

About it

Actually, I just took TheFreemaker's AT-DP, changed it only slightly and put it on my walking gear made using FT. This gear uses pretty complicated input functions for pistons, so I made piston indicators visible from cockpit view so that it is possible to find out the position of pistons. I also upgraded the weapons of the walker; it is different at some points from the original AT-DP from Star Wars (for example, this one is equipped with missiles), that's why I call it AT-DP M1.

Controls

Throttle: move forward
Roll: turret turn
Pitch: turret pitch
Yaw: turn
Trim: step length (forwards - shorter - more stable, backwards - longer - faster)
VTOL: pitch (needed for keeping balance)
AG6: launch all missiles (if you want to get rid of them)
LandingGear OFF + AG7 OFF: foot supporting ledges up
LandingGear OFF + AG7 ON: foot supporting ledges down (useful for fast turning)

How to drive it

It has been tested at Low Physics, so things may be different at other settings.

To start:

Set trim to ~ +0.3. Increase throttle gradually, moving VTOL forward at the same time. Most stable when throttle is 30-70% and VTOL is ~ +0.75, but you can mess around with trim/VTOL/throttle values and even try to make it run (while moving fast, it may be useful to raise up supporting ledges).

To turn:

Use yaw. It's good to slow down a bit before turning and increase step length. You can try turning extremely fast with ledges down.

To stop:

Set trim to 0, move VTOL backwards to 0, decrease throttle to ~ 30%. Then switch to cockpit view and look sideways. You will see the indicator bars. You need the moment when the lower bar is in it's extreme position; then set throttle to 0.

@Zokowi Thank you. Yes, I have an idea to make AT-AT like this, but it's going to be entirely my design, so when I have enough time, I'll try to make it

@StarfallEngineering I just want to say i love what you do to freemaket AT-DP, Using your own walking gear making the walker feel alive just like in the series, And i want to ask do you have a plan to do something like this in the future?

@Zokowi Kind of, I sometimes play SP and even made something interesting recently. Maybe it's even worth posting. But anyway I don't spend much time creating SP designs and usually their part count is very low (also because of my android device)

@Ultra0, yes, I've seen your walker, looks pretty nice! The reason I chose TheFreemaker's AT-DP as a prototype was it's legs proportions those differed from the original AT-DP but fit my walking gear better because of that

@Ultra0 well of course TheFreemaker AT-DP is mess because its 3 years ago, there is no Gyro 3 years ago and his not even using XML when making it

Go onto high physics and full throttle. Watch what happens.

I made an AT-DP too but i didnt use freemakers one because the proportions are all messed up and it walked badly
