Grumman F-14A Tomcat
You should only use this on high physics.
So, ACEPILOT109 and I had a little F-14 challenge, and we were posting them at the same time. So make sure you tell him mine is better! Here is the link to his F-14
The F-14A Tomcat is an all-weather, supersonic, air superiority fighter built for the US Navy to compensate for the failure of the F-111B as a variable-geometry fighter for the USN. It was capable of a top speed of Mach 2.8, and was built for the purpose of utilizing the new AIM-54 Phoenix interception missiles. High Mach was only achieved on interception missions; the aircraft didn't need to reach those speeds during normal flight or combat scenarios. During combat, the wings were extended and the flaps would be down half way for better maneuverability. Afterburners were only really used for high-mach flight and takeoff. The F-14 is most famous for Top Gun, but it was a relatively short-lived fighter due to its very narrow niche that could easily be filled by the new F/A-18. This version is of the VF-142 squadron, "Ghostriders". Personally, I think this is one of my better simple creations, but there are a few details I didn't include. I kind of rushed it out, and I'm not entirely proud of that fact, but it's fun to fly, and I guess that matters more sometimes.
1. Thecatbaron's afterburner
2. BogdanX's flaps algorithm
3. RocCrafter101's AIM-54 Phoenix
Act. 1: Air brake
Act. 2: Arrestor hook
Act. 3: Nav lights
Act. 4: Formation lights
VTOL up: swing wings/carrier storage
VTOL down: 2-position flaps
Trim: trim

The top of the plane was modified after these pictures were taken.

Lol. @ACEPILOT109
He he he
@asteroidbook345 @KnightOfRen
Who's is better?? You both said to say that yours is better! @asteroidbook345 @ACEPILOT109
Really beautiful! Looks and flies great
I think yours is better although @ACEPILOT109 did a great work as well
You win.
Honestly a lot better than Acepilot's, sorry. Nice engines, flaps, livery, and it has the 20mm gun unlike Acepilot's.
@Wi1dSk7 how dare you!
This one definitely handles better.
Well, I post a lot, like, a lot. @asteroidbook345 @asteroidbook345
I didn’t even notice you stole my “the little challenge” thing! How dare you lol
Almost!!!
You can join the club lol @asteroidbook345
20k!!
Lol @asteroidbook345
Sure they’re way to crazy but that makes it better
The afterburners on this thing are literally one of the coolest things
afterburner is too much, front LG is wack, custom surfaces are not there, Airbrake needs to have much more drag, and the nose looks a bit wonky for an f-14. However, ACEPILOT109's F-14 has way less realistic takeoff and maneuverability and your general engine looks better. Drag points, engine power, and the wing area is much more realistic than his. I would say you win!
Your aircraft has better afterburners and a nicer livery ngl
