Reaper-Class Artillery Cruiser

Controls:
- Start in the air.
- AG1 for turrets.
- Landing Gear to cycle power cells

The Reaper-Class Artillery Cruiser is, quite literally, the Grim Reaper of warships. Basically a sniper rifle with engines, the Reaper was built with the idea of killing targets from incredible distances. The Reaper-Class is specialized for long-range combat, staying in the outskirts of battle and knocking enemy warships out of commission with its massive 240mm double-barreled gauss cannon that comprises two-thirds of its length. The ship boasts heavily automated weapon systems, which allow for more efficiency and lesser required crew, requiring only 55 crew members to fully operate the ship. It is also equipped with plasma flak turrets and anti-missile lasers in case a sneaky corvette manages to get behind its back. While it is very powerful at longer ranges, it is virtually useless in CQC, as it barely has any armor due to it being sacrificed for added weapon power cells and added maneuverability. The Reaper-Class continued to serve the Continuum Navy until it was decommissioned in 3200 and later replaced by the larger and more powerful Longbow-Class artillery cruiser.

@ZephyrSystems *amount of energy that propels the shell, but yeah projectile size won't matter, even if it's a small as a pea, if it was propelled at 40x the speed of sound it could tear through any starship armor

@Ephwurd so? The size of shell does matter, first the size of the shell determines how big the initial damage hole is, then you have the shockwave turning everything inside into jelly (if it's pressurized) then there is the tearing of the armor that it hits

@MechWARRIOR57 its a railgun, bullet size does not matter if that bullet travels at 5x the speed of sound, plus it won't slow down in space
