Offensive Bias 2.0
Similar to my new Guardian Sentinel, this updated Offensive Bias features the same autoaiming weapon system and mobility upgrades, but with a few upgrades above a standard Guardian. The Light Mass Fussilade Cannon is much more powerful and has a significant knockback effect, and the Pulse Missiles have been replaced with Q-Pulse Missiles, with a cyan glow and a far more powerful explosive yield. For the more...close quarters fighters, the 4 large structures that surround Offensive Bias can be used as a ramming targe.
Controls:
Pitch: Move Forward/Reverse
Roll: Strafe Left/Right
Yaw: Rotate Left/Right
Brake: Shield Block
VTOL: Change Hover Altitude
FireGuns: Fire Light Mass Fusillade Cannon
AG1: Overclock Impulse Drive
AG2: Safety toggle for Q-Pulse Missiles
Onboard Weapons:
Light Mass Fusillade Cannon: Metastable hardlight emitter that melts through the target. Select a target, then hold down the fire button until the beam fires (Mobile users may need to add a wing gun or minigun to enable the button). If the beam does not fire, cycle targeting mode. Check Offensive Bias' back while firing for charge status.
Q-Pulse Missile: Energy based projectile with enhanced flight characteristics. Creates a slipspace detonation on impact. Due to risk of overload, capacitor bank cannot be recharged and discharges below certain water depth. Maximum of 60 projectiles total. Needs line of sight for guidance. Can change targets mid-flight. STAY CLEAR OF BLAST RADIUS!
Shield Bash: Offensive Bias has 4 large structures at its sides at all times. Hold the Brake Control to divert these structures forward, then charge forward to smash enemies out of your way. Can also block incoming projectiles or aircraft, although they have to actually hit the shield.
Pulsar Flares: Deployable countermeasure array. Scrambles guidance systems of enemy munitions by channeling slipspace micro-ruptures through the charged hardlight casing. Because the launchers are on the external faces of the large structures surrounding Offensive Bias, they can be aimed at a singular opponent, or launched in all directions for maximum coverage. Due to the volatile nature of the device, the smartmatter structure quickly burns away, ionizing atmospheric gases as it travels.
Additional Notes:
Credit where credit is due, the autoaim system has been slightly modified from NewmanSTAR's Killswitch Concept Aircraft on this site.
The Beam Weapon uses 2 miniguns, the outer minigun (the more dim, larger diameter beam effect) does a lot less damage, but has a significant knockback effect, while the inner minigun (the brighter, more solid core) just melts things, although both beams just melt things anyway.
The Beam Weapon now has a limited firing arc, if you count a 110 degree cone of doo- er, fire limited. (the beam is limited to 55 degrees to the left, right, up, down, or anywhere in between)
The ''floaty bits'' around the central chassis now move when Offensive Bias changes altitude
The Heads-Up Display has no text, but still notifies you on the status of boost, weapon charge, and whether or not the pulse missiles are selected. (pay attention to the HUD when you change things in first person)
