In 1946, the Germans came up with a new design to replace their successful fighter, the Bf-109 with the more faster, lighter, agile Bf-359. The 359 had some new innovations in it such as the swept wing to increase turning speed, swapped the positions of the wings, that is horizontal stabilizers in front and main wings at the back to stabilize it, trike landing gears to keep it stable and made it the Bf-109's most successful successors
