[RvG - GRE] P-25A Seeker

Red V Green...

...I don't even have words for this one.

If this becomes a meme plane I will lose every ounce of sanity.

Basics

Meet the Green Team Seeker, given this nickname due to its... "unconventional" canopy design. If you didn't like the B-29's glass cockpit, this plane will probably make you fall in love with the Superfortress, because believe me, them engineers were thinking up some weird stuff in the 50s. Yet in spite of everything, this plane definitely makes up for its looks with power.

Info

Pros:
-Very fast (especially with the turbocharger)
-Decently agile
-Fairly durable
-Four engines; if you lose one, you have three
-Versatile in terms of roles
-Reinforced comms systems

Cons:
-Turbocharger consumes a lot of fuel
-Large target
-Gets out-turned by most light-medium fighters
-Four engines; four times the engines, four times the chance you get hit and lose one
-HE rounds can backfire and hit you too (only at close ranges)

Tips:
-Don't be a picky shooter; between plenty of rounds to spare and distance-triggered HE rounds (credit @Seemeing), you don't need to have perfect aim to take out an enemy. It's highly advised to be remotely close to the target, though (in terms of aim).
-In contrast to the previous statement though, don't use the 40mm cannons on fighters; the P-25A is an interceptor designed with defense in mind, so utilize your cannons on bombers.
-Albeit not armed at the moment, the P-25A can also serve as a fighter-bomber. You can utilize this in a number of ways, everything from offensively bombing strategic targets to defensively bombing approaching ground or sea units without wasting the 40mms.
-The Seeker is very fast both in lateral and climbing movement. In the case that your opponent can out-turn you, either run or climb (it's recommended to not climb above 40,000 feet when flying the Seeker).

Random Facts:
-The Seeker was originally gonna be named the Dagger, then the Musket. I finally settled on Seeker because... I don't know lol.
-Dualside, one of my oldest planes (my 7th post ever and my 5th unique build), was largely the inspiration for the P-25A. I wouldn't quite say that the P-25A is just Dualside rebuilt with my current skill, but the P-25A could certainly be considered Dualside's successor. I may even remake Dualside himself (I remade the FA-32, why not Dualside).

Story

It's the 1950s.

World War II is over, the Korean War and Cold War have begun... Meanwhile the Red V Green War is going, and thanks to Blue Team's recent appearance, it doesn't seem like the war will end anytime soon. But we're not talking about Blue Team. For once, this one is just between Red and Green, as it started.

The Red B-984 "Fearsome" was certainly living up to the name, being just as powerful of a psychological weapon as it was a strategic weapon. Sure it was expensive, and required enough resources to scare most politicians out of their skin. But if the B-984 was in War Thunder, it'd be gaining a handsome profit from all the havoc it wreaked. Even the few planes that could reach it like the P-12B/C, P-14D, P-62, P-05, P-3A, AP-11 and eventually P-65 and P-55, still had issues dealing with the B-984's armor and gunners, allowing the bombers to leave ashes in its wake regardless.

Green needed a solution.

After brainstorming for weeks, consulting their best engineers, and thinking outside of the box with experimental technologies (many of which weren't used or tested), they finally settled on one strange design, the "P-25 Dagger." The plane looked promising, but needed some fine tuning and slight changes from the rest of the team. A few of these changes included replacing the six 30mm cannons with four 40mm cannons. Another was to rename the P-25 to the Musket, due to being too big to be named after a small blade. However, they didn't quite like Musket either, and eventually decided on Seeker due to its... questionable canopy, which some people even described as a "windshield more than a canopy." Among the added modifications was also the turbochargers, ensuring the P-25 can arrive to almost any threat quickly.

Regardless, the P-25 went through extensive tests to prove it could intercept even the B-984, and although it was tough- with the very test grounds nearly becoming bomb targets themselves- the P-25 eventually passed testing and entered production. With four engines, four cannons, and four reasons to fight (advancement, protection, proof, and revenge), the P-25A quickly became a name feared by all bomber crews, boasting a climb rate that terrified even the Blues, and 40mm cannons that ripped bombers to shreds. Making matters worse for Green's enemies, the Seeker could hold its own in a dogfight, as well as strike ground units and escort their own bombers.

The P-25A's reign wouldn't end until 1985, when it was ultimately replaced with the FI-44 Trident. However, the P-25A was still a vital defender in its time, with official records claiming that P-25s and their brave pilots ultimately stopped a total of 328 bombing raids, 81 close-range air-to-ground attacks, and 21 naval-to-ground assaults. Some of the design methods were quite similar as well, with the FI-44 featuring an entirely clear canopy and its own 40mm cannons (with later variants even having 50-60mm cannons).

The B-984 is strong, but any good Seeker pilot can make quick work of it.

@KPLBall Yeah, idk why I added those lol, just thought they'd be cool
Regardless, they still find genuine use in the lore, that is to help stabilize the wing to prevent shaking and breakage at high speeds.
