"Hey Cleetus, what if we strapped our boat to your hang glider?"

So, I was messing about in MSFS2020 when I saw this thing in the marketplace on sale for like 5 bucks. It seemed to strike a chord deep within my soul, and then I realized why. This.... craft, it is the chariot of my people. This is the chariot of the Florida man. I knew that it was my obligation to make this craft a reality in Simpleplanes and after countless flight model tweaks and problems I am pleased to present the fruit of my efforts...

AG8- Master Switch

𝐹𝓁𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒸𝓉𝑒𝓇𝒾𝓈𝓉𝒾𝒸𝓈

The UA-5 is not like most other aircraft, You do not have any yaw control due to the tailless design and the rest of the aircraft's control is done through the movement of the entire wing shifting the COL relative to the COM. Be aware that in VR operation the aircraft will feel slightly more sluggish. This is some weirdness with the control base that I was unable to figure out but the airctaft is still nice to fly. I found that the reduced sensitivity is actually very nice in VR and prevents motion sickness. The controls are inverted compared to a tradional yoke or stick, to pitch up you must push forward on the bar and vice versa in order to pitch down. Roll is the same way, to roll left you must push the bar to the right and vice versa. This aircraft is not designed to be able to operate inverted so it is not advised that you attempt to fly it upside down.

𝒞𝑜𝒸𝓀𝓅𝒾𝓉 𝐿𝒶𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓌:

Due to the indended use of this aircraft in VR and its unorthodox design it is important to understand where everything is and how to fly it properly. The large triangular bar in front of you is your "yoke" of sorts. hold onto the bar as if you were holding on to a railing (use both hands for best immersion!) It was already explained earlier in this manual the inversion of the control imputs so remember that! The throttle is the black lever to your right and the brake is the red lever to your left. In between your legs is the insturment panel with the master switch and gear switch. Make sure that in VR operation you are sitting in the forward seat and not the rear one.
